It's been a long time for a front page update again, but Igni is still going strong! We've been running two 10-man raid groups, and a mixed guild 25-man raid as well. And the big news tonight, one of our 10 man raid groups downed the Lich King! Congrats to all!
Igni has gotten started quickly in Icecrown! We have downed Marrowgar in 10-Man mode just days after ICC's release. We're continuing to push forward to be ready as the additional branches open up to us. Good job Igni!
It's been a long time since my last update, but Igni has not been idle! We have cleared all except for Yogg in Ulduar-10, and last night we defeated the Faction Champions and the Twin Valkrys both for the 1st time as a guild. It was a great run, and we'll keep on moving!
Naxxramas has been cleared! It was a great week for Igni Ferroque. All four quarters of Naxx were cleared on tues/thurs, allowing us to dedicate our sunday raid to Sapph and Kel. Turns out, we barely needed it. Once we were prepared, we went in and one-shotted Sapph, and needed just 3 attempts to kill Kel, getting him to 6%, 1%, then 0% on our three attempts. This is a great achievement for the guild, we'll be well prepared for Ulduar!
It's been a long time since I've updated this page, but that is not becuase of a lack of activity! Igni is steadily progressing through WotLK. Tonight, we cleared the four quarters of Naxx 25 for the 1st time, and defeated Sapphiron on our third attempt! We took a half dozen shots on Kel'Thas, getting him as low as 26%. It won't be long now before we have cleared Naxx25 completely, congratulations all!
I was going to make the title "A'lar went down in flames", but I resisted, hehe. It was still a big night, though! After downing VR and Solarian for months while skipping A'lar, we tackled him tonight and killed him on about our 4th attempt. This was only the 2nd time we actually tried to kill him. We were pretty focused last night, lets keep it up for our first shot at Kael on Sunday!
ZA has now been fully cleared by Igni! A number of our members have pulled Zul'Jin down before, but this was the 1st time a full Igni group killed him, and officially cleared ZA. Congrats all!
We made our 2nd trip to Hyjal Summit this evening, and after about 6 attempts, got Winterchill down. We also got 5 Heart of Darkness as just a bonus :) That 6th wave that gave us so much trouble last time went very smoothly, it was a clean run, good job all!
We spent some more time exploring SSC, and have now managed to one-shot Hydross, and get a couple tries in against Tidewalker. This last week, we made our return to TK, and finally downed Void Reaver last night, our 1st T5 token boss kill! It took 5 attempts, but that last run was really strong, with almost the entire raid alive past 50%. Congrats to our 1st T5 armor wearers: Tyvin, Oaloff, and Tadrann!
We had another big weekend this week! Yesterday, our ZA group downed Hex Lord. We're going to work on some shadow resist gear for people to make this fight a lot easier. And tonight, we downed Hydross in SSC. We attempted Hydross last week, and got him to 4%, so we were optimistic. Our 1st attempt tonight we got him to 1%! It only took two more tries before we killed him in a little over 8:30, plenty of time to spare. Good job everyone! (images comming soon)
Sorry for the cheesy title, I couldn't resist! Another T5 boss has fallen, this time in Serpent Shrine, making one boss each in SSC and TK. Leo, Hydross, Voidreaver... you guys are next!
Sunday night was huge for Igni. First, we made our first t5 raid kill, downing Solarian in Tempest Keep. This is a great achievement, to finally have a tk boss under our belts. Once TK wrapped up, we made a trip over to Zul'Aman and finally took down Jan'Alai. Two major firsts in one night, congratulations to all!
Once again, Igni Ferroque moves forward on our way to the Black Temple! Congratulations to all! It took 4 tries, but on that 4th, I don't think it could have gone much smoother, loosing only 2 people the entire fight. Congratualtions to Tjaxx for winning Mag's head, to our members that finished their Champion of the Naruu questline, and to Kat, Brian, Harc, Oaloff, and Tadrann for your drops!
Good job everyone, we had another 1st tonight, and downed Akil'Zon in Zul'Aman. We had a good run, and learned a few important lessons, like the barrier that appears when the fight starts (sorry Kaz!). Hopefully, this is the 1st of many kills! This victory follows last night's 3rd consecutive clear of Gruul's Lair. Gruul was downed in 5m46s, by far are fastest time.
Gruul has been defeated! For the 1st time, Igni has downed Gruul as a guild. We used 3 pulls on High King as people became familiar with the fight, and when we moved on, we one-shotted Gruul himself! Awesome job everybody, and congrats on the drops everyone!
After a couple co-guild runs of Gruul's Lair with Lords of Illusion and The Clique, we decided to try our hand at Void Reaver. We put together the raid with 22 Igni members and 3 friends, and we charged into Tempest Keep for the first time. It was a blast! We did not succeed in downing the Void Reaver on this attempt, but we learned a lot, and we're looking forward to our next attempt next week.
Congratulations to everyone, this was a big week! Killing Prince last week was a good step forward, and we continued moving forward this week by killing both Netherspite and Nightbane, leaving Karazhan empty! This is a great accomplishment as a guild, and we can look forward to including many more members in our Karazhan raids.
Weeks 12 and 13 were pretty uneventful for us. Typcial run downing curator and chess. Week Fourteen however, finally saw the fall of Prince! Congratulations guys, that's a big accomplishment!
Our 2nd non blitz week went pretty well. The group moved past opera, and downed curator. We even got several attempts in on Shade, but we were not able to pull him down this time.
This was the guild's first regular week since Blitz was started, and it went quite well. As expected, progress was slower, as we only made it through Opera. However, a lot of people got time in Kara that had not seen much action yet. The more experience we can build across the whole guild, the stronger we will be!
This week was Igni's 1st official Blitz week, and it was a good one! We moved well past Chess this week and downed Shade, Illhoof, and even got a couple attempts in against Prince! We all learned a good deal, which should make dropping them during the next Blitz even easier. Additionally, Igni participated in a Gruul's run with The Clique, and downed the High Lord. It was a great run, with a great guild. We've also jumped into the top 50 guilds on Norgannon, according to WowJustsu! We're the only guild on the server to have a Gruul's lair boss kill that hasn't cleared all of Kara except Netherspite, Congrats to all!
The 1st official Guild Officers Meeting took place last night, and it went very well. Thank you to all who attended, I think we made some good decisions that will help us grow as a guild. I will be posting details from the meeting in the forums shortly. Also note the new class specific forums. Post any and all questions about your class, and we'll all be able to help out!
We had another decent run this week, downed curator and got back to chess. It's time we move forward! We'll be setting our sights on Shade this comming week!
We had out 1st encounter with Romulo and Julianne in opera this week. Being a new encounter, we struggled a bit with it, and it slowed us down, be we got them!
Looks like we have a rhythm going for the 1st half or so of Kara, as we got out to Chess again, good job all!
We were back on our game this week! We got to the Chess event again this week, including downing Curator on our 1st try at him on monday night, on what was planned to be an unbuffed dry-run! Having Mun tanking the flares with over 200 AR gear seemed to help a lot. We were unable to get a 2nd group going last week, so we're going to go back to one group again this week, until we know we can get a solid 2nd group.
Additionally, a small DKP change is going into effect this week. All primary class drops will be charged DKP. Details in the forum.
Bit of a slow week this week due to scheduling problems of some key members. We downed Attumen, Moroes, and Maiden, and for the 1st time, we completed the Big Bad Wolf Opera event. We had but one shot at curator on Monday night, but were unable to bring him down. We also put our DKP system to work for the 1st time this week on drops, and it seems to be working out well. Next week were are trying to get two groups going, see the forum for more details.
The DKP system is going into effect this week for Karazhan raids. This will not affect anyone doing PUG's, or 5 mans, etc. The point system will help reward members for participation in raiding activites, by letting more active members have higher priority for drops. These points are 'spent' on the drops however, so newer raiders will be able to save points and win drops as well. There is a new link on the left to the DKP and Loots tables. More information is available in the forum.
Our best week yet! Attumen and Moroes were downed on Tuesday; Maiden and Opera (Oz) were downed on friday, and we dropped the Curator and Chess even on Sunday. Good job, everyone, we've made it half way through Kara in 3 weeks!
Nice job again this week. We cleared Attumen and Moroes both on tuesday night without much trouble. Unfortunately we had a lot of people out of town or busy, and did not get another run in until Sunday evening. We got Maiden down after a couple tries, but the Big Bad Wolf gave pretty much mopped the floor with us in the couple attempts we gave him, hehe. Looking forward to another good run this week!
I have to say, I think we did a pretty incredible job in Kara our very 1st week. We downed Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, and the Crone from the Wizard of Oz Opera Event. We had one shot at the curator as well, but didn't have as much luck. I think we'll be better prepared for him this week. Thanks to all that particiapted, and especially to those of you that volunteered to swap out and let others join in the fun!
A big congrats and thanks to all that participated in our very 1st guild visit to Karazhan last night! We had 11 keyed members show up. With a great group balance, we downed Attumen the Huntsman on our 1st try! Zincerind died, unfortunately, but loosing only one raid member on our 1st go is pretty phenomenal! Next trip, Friday 8:30 gametime.

With the distict feeling that we had missed out on the pre-Burning Crusade raids, 13 Igni Ferroque members and a couple guests tore our way through Zul'Gurub! We did have one wipe, unfortunately. Can you blame a mass group of 70's for being overconfident in ZG?! I couldn't quite get eveyone in this shot, but almost, sorry if you're not on the list here!
Our old homepage was Simply the forum, I figured I would spice it up a bit. We can use this space for any announcemnts or really, anything we want! The forum is still available from the link on the left. My graphics skills are pretty terrible, though. Does anyone want to design a logo or banner?
A full Igni team cleared Shadow Labs today. The team consisted of Shimluka, Shimjr, BrianDenahe, Tyvin, and Zincerind. Shimluka got his Felsteel Helm plans that he had been pining over, but the Spellstrike Pants pattern failed to drop for Zin or Shimjr. Shadow Labs is the location of the 1st key fragment for Karazhan, so pick up the chain in southern Deadwind Pass when you get a chance!
